Leading the Sanitation Industry Trend and Shaping a New Blueprint for the Future: The 2021-2022 China Sanitation Expo Grandly Opens in Xiamen.

On August 6, the 2021-2022 China Sanitation Expo grandly opened at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center. Representatives from various levels of the national sanitation system, local sanitation associations, relevant universities, research institutes, and industry-related enterprises participated in this annual event of the sanitation industry, with nearly 200 exhibitors and over ten thousand visitors on the first day.
Xu Wenlong, president of the China Urban Environmental Hygiene Association, hosted the opening ceremony. Yang Hongyi, deputy director of the Urban Construction Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Gao Yu, deputy director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, delivered speeches. Other attendees included Sun Ying, president of China Construction Technology Group, Chen Wu, chairman of Fujian Provincial Bidding Procurement Group, Huang Changqing, director of the Urban Management Department of Fujian Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Li Ganliang, deputy director of Xiamen Municipal Garden Bureau, Sun Songqing, former deputy director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Chen Dengfeng, director of the Fuzhou City Management Committee, as well as vice presidents, executive vice presidents, secretaries-general, and executive secretaries-general of the China Urban Environmental Hygiene Association.

The China Sanitation Expo is a national comprehensive exhibition showcasing the entire sanitation industry chain, organized by the China Urban Environmental Hygiene Association. After nearly two years of careful planning, the 2021-2022 China Sanitation Expo meets the needs and wishes of sanitation professionals nationwide for communication, discussion, and cooperation, and has received strong support from sanitation authorities at all levels, industry associations, and enterprises.

At the 2021-2022 China Sanitation Expo, activities such as government-enterprise matchmaking, new product launches, and demonstrations of sanitation vehicles in road operations were carried out.

On the afternoon of the first day of the expo, multiple thematic forums were held simultaneously, including the establishment meeting of the China Urban Environmental Hygiene Association's Solid Waste Incineration Committee and the high-end technology forum for high-quality sanitation development towards 2035, the annual meeting of the Sanitation Landfill and Ecological Restoration Committee and the thematic forum on benchmark governance of ecological restoration of landfill sites, the annual meeting of the Sanitation Operation Committee and the industry technology discussion and development trend seminar, and the forum on opportunities and challenges for the waste industry under the dual carbon goals, where representatives shared practices, exchanged experiences, and discussed the development of subfields in sanitation.

On August 7, activities such as the annual meeting of the Sanitation Machinery Management Committee and the forum on the intelligent development of sanitation machinery, the symposium on public toilet construction management, the special seminar on leachate treatment, the thematic forum on the development history of the sanitation industry, the meeting to comprehensively promote waste classification, the annual meeting of the Urban-Rural Sanitation Integration Committee, and exchanges on industrial solid waste and hazardous waste treatment by the China Urban Environmental Hygiene Association are being held.
